FAQ - Shipping & Duties
How Shipping Works – Completely Transparent
We are a Swedish company that partners with suppliers in China to offer you unique products at great prices. That's why your order is shipped directly from our partner there, which means the shipping process follows international regulations.
-
No hidden VAT in the price: Our prices are shown exclusive of VAT. When the goods arrive in Sweden, Swedish VAT (25%) is added to the total amount (product + shipping).
-
Customs duties on orders over 1,800 SEK: If your order exceeds 1,800 SEK, a customs duty may also apply, which varies depending on the product category.
-
You pay directly to the carrier: VAT, any customs duties, and an administrative handling fee are paid by you directly to the carrier (e.g., PostNord, DHL) when the package arrives in Sweden. You will always receive a payment link before the package is delivered.
We recommend that you are aware of this before completing your purchase, so you won't face any surprises. Shop with confidence – we're here for you!
Why do I have to pay extra when I've already paid in the webshop?
Your purchase in the webshop covers the product itself. Since the item is imported from China, Swedish VAT and any customs duties are added upon import. This is a separate cost regulated by the Swedish Customs Agency and is paid directly to the carrier.
How much extra will I have to pay?
You will pay Swedish VAT (25%) on the product price and shipping cost. If the total value of your order exceeds 1,800 SEK, a customs duty may also apply, which varies depending on the type of product. The carrier will also charge an administrative handling fee for the customs clearance.
Can I avoid these extra costs?
No, for private individuals, it is a legal requirement to pay VAT on imports from countries outside the EU. These costs cannot be avoided for this type of delivery.
I've shopped from other non-EU countries without paying extra. Why is it different now?
This may be because the seller previously included these costs in the price (a so-called DDP – Delivered Duty Paid – agreement), or because the value of the goods fell below the customs threshold and VAT was handled differently. In our case, you as the buyer are responsible for settling the fees upon import.
